Senior Back-end software developer

Drivepixels is looking to bring on a passionate Java-focused, highly technical and passionate Senior Back-End Software Developer to join our growing team in Nizhny Novgorod.

Some key responsibilities for this role include:

• Partnering with Development Manager when discussing technical design and solutions
• Working with Product Owner and User Experience team to transform business requirements into technical requirements.
• Participating in detailed requirements, design, development, documentation and integration efforts
• Participating in a process of backend development Code Reviews to ensure that the code being delivered is clean and efficient
• Systems and integration testing
• Participating in stand up calls with your assigned scrum team
• Working with Scrum Master to ensure deliveries of sprints are on schedule
• Partnering with QA resources on the team to deliver high quality code and features
• Producing architecture documentation, specifications, POCs where appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years IT experience in solutions development
• Experience and/or understanding of the following technologies:
  • Java 8
  • Spring Framework - Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Core, Spring Data, Spring IoC
  • JPA (Hibernate)
  • SQL and NoSQL databases (NoSQL – MongoDB)
  • RESTful web services
  • Junit
  • Experience with OLAP would be an advantage
  • Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
• Ability to communicate technical design and solutions to business representatives
• Experience reviewing and improving other developers’ code
• Spoken technical English
• Passion for technology
