SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Full-stack)

Zenfolio is transitioning from monolithic applications to a microservices-based architecture for our platform. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our engineering team. If you are passionate about your work, willing to learn new things, enjoy solving difficult problems, and take pride in your code – we would like to hear from you. Day-to-day responsibilities of our development team include enhancement of our existing platform, as well as the creation of our new generation products.

We use a mix of stack technologies and you can expect to interact with several database types and more than one programming language.

• Architect, estimate, code, unit test, and debug new features being added to Zenfolio.com
• Work on individual and collaborative, team-based engineering projects
• Work with Product Management and UI Designers to identify technical requirements and project plan details
• Create full-stack, data-driven web applications based upon user interface specifications
• Create new SQL queries and expand upon existing database schema
• Debug and optimize the performance of a large-scale, service-oriented web platform

• At least 5 years of professional web application development experience
• At least 3 years of experience in object-oriented programming
• At least 3 years of experience relational database development experience
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft IIS, and SQL Server
• Experience developing node.js services and document databases in a container-based environment will be considered as a great advantage
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript development for web applications
• Proven experience working with JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and XML
• Eager to learn new concepts and apply acquired knowledge in practice
• E-commerce experience and photography background a plus
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related technical field, or equivalent experience
