Full Stack .Net Software Engineer

Project description:

As a part of our distributed project team you will work remotely, but play a very important role, contributing to the development of leading telehealth solutions that extend care in the home combining telemonitoring technology such as biometric data acquisition, interactive voice response (IVR), and video enhanced remote collaboration.

The Full-Stack Software Engineer Lead is responsible for the architecture and design of core platform, for implementation of highly scalable, fault tolerant, and high performance distributed cloud systems, and for fostering a collaborative environment with fellow engineering and product development professionals. The position reports to Software Developer  and would work closely with the Architecture Team.

Technologies and Disciplines

Our platform consists of a Microsoft stack of technologies and running in a distributed virtual private cloud as well as on-premise installations for select customers.  Some of our technologies:

• Windows operating system (starting from Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/2012 R2)
• .Net (starting from .Net 3.5)
• IIS (starting from IIS 7) and ASP .Net (starting from Web Forms)
• HTTP, HTML, JavaScript
• SQL Server and Transact-SQL (starting from SQL Server 2008/2014 R2)

Responsibilities

• Implementing agreed architecture, data modeling, high level design, low level design and non-functional technical requirements
• Write totally awesome, highly-testable code, daily, persistence layers and web services, and single page applications and mobile solutions
• Solve complex technical, scalability or performance challenges
• Define and ensure compliance to software engineering standards across the engineering team
• Evaluate technologies and prototype solutions
• Mentor other engineers, conduct code and design reviews and be hands on to develop technical products
• Consume, understand, maintain and enhance the automated software deployment pipeline
• Work in a fast paced agile environment and be able to take a high level concept and work with different teams to make it a reality

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in engineering and architecture with hands on experience in full-stack development, design and architecture;
• A strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures and design patterns;
• Demonstrable versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies (Example: Java, Java Script, AngularJS, CSS3, HTML5, MySQL, SQL);
• Deep experience in building web services and backend web platforms;
• Deep exposure to all aspects of modern web application architectures, visual design, and mobile web development;
• Experience configuring web servers (IIS) and common server components utilized for web software development;
• Understanding and embraces the value of automated software deployment and release automation;
