Automation Developer – OCR/ICR

Project Description:

Our customer is the premier global provider of strategic business and technology solutions for the real estate finance industry, trusted to evaluate, optimize and manage critical assets and securities: from commercial and residential real estate, to small- and medium-enterprise and consumer lending.

The Automation Developer (OCR/ICR) will join our Process Automation team and will develop automation and advanced data extraction solutions using ABBYY FlexiCapture, Blue Prism and related technologies to support and streamline business processes. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker grounded in object oriented design concepts with experience developing automation and data extraction solutions.

Essential Key Responsibilities:

• System analysis, training and implementation of solutions that meet business needs using ABBYY FlexiCapture and data science techniques
• Design solutions utilizing data extraction best practices
• End to end process testing and change management
• Methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches
• Identify issues and risks
• Ability to interpret and visualize business process flows, user stories, and related requirements and translate the same into automation solutions

Required Skills:

• Hands on experience with and knowledge of OCR/ICR data extraction products – ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 hands-on experience a plus
• Identify innovations in OCR, computer vision, text analytics and NLP leveraging ML/AI and deep learning to help advance automation, knowledge discovery, decision-making and insights, and streamline business processes or enable new capabilities in document understanding and knowledge extraction from text and unstructured data
• Eperience with technologies like RPA, Machine Learning, NLP and OCR/ICR
• Experience with Object oriented system design and development
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and operational processes
• Ability to gather and compile information and prepare reports
• Experience with robotic process automation is a plus

Required Work experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience with ABBYY FlexiCapture (for version 11 or 12) OCR software for automation and data extraction
• OCR software implementation for automated data extraction experience with implementing OCR software for a large (over 200,000 documents annually) organization
• At least 3 years of experience with developing and/or supporting applications with at least one of the following: Java, .NET, HTML, VB, C++
• A deep understanding of automation principles and industry best practices is required
• Experience with Robotic process automation (RPA) software and Blue Prism is a plus
