We are looking for a QA engineer our High Performance Storage team.

Responsibilities

  • Deploying and troubleshooting 100s of servers to support large HPC systems (1000s of compute nodes)

  • Bare-metal deployment automation

  • Specializing and covering at least one area in storage, network or cluster and conducting performance and automated testing (mostly python, some C++

  • Working with global teams (France, US East coast and Mid-West)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner

  • Understanding of server installation and management and basic knowledge of High Performance Computing

  • Strong knowledge in software and scripting in Python and C++ particularly for Linux/UNIX computing environments (2 lvls of tests - sub-units in C++ and system/integration/perf tests in python)

  • Strong SW test design, execution, automation and metrics with storage testing experience (more performance metrics vs. automation)

  • Experience in design and automate tests to cover new core components of the enterprise and/or HPC system (i.e. storage and network aspects)

  • Understands all or some of IB and high performance Ethernet; tcp and socket programming, libfabrics, virtualization for datastores, data storage, file systems

  • Familiarity with block storage (iSCSI protocol)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read source code, talk to developers and product management to define tests that covers the functional requirements

  • Ability to translate application and system stats into meaningful tests for storage systems

  • Experience in setting/debugging fast networks (ex. ~100G IB or OPA cards and networks)

  • Experience in setting/configuring storage systems (ex. NFS, XFS, Lustre, GPFS)

  • Experience in system, network and IO benchmarking
